Two teachers in District 49 scored regional recognition for going above and beyond in their classrooms. Amy Levi, third-grade teacher at Ridgeview Elementary, and Kortney Sorensen, P.E./health teacher at Falcon High School, were selected as honorees in the Air Force Academy’s “Extra Yard for Teachers” campaign.
P.E. teacher Jedd Sims wanted a lesson for his Falcon Middle School students different from the rest. “I’m a big basketball fan and thought it would be unique for our kids to meet a former NBA player,” Sims shared. That’s when he learned about the Denver Nuggets Community Ambassadors.

A Vista Ridge High School senior from the class of 2019 filled each billowing ebony robe -- the required dress for more than 330 student participants in the VRHS graduation ceremony.
番茄app社区成人At 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, more than 260 Falcon High seniors walked together for their last assembly as FHS students. In flowing robes of green and gold, the class of 2019 strode single-file to find their seats for a commencement ceremony at the Broadmoor World Arena.
All District charter school applicants must file this intent to apply form with the District by March 15, 2019 before submitting an application to the Board of Education. This provides formal notice to the Falcon 49 School District regarding the applicant’s intention to submit a new school proposal to open in the 2020-2021 school year.
The deadline for applications is May 3, 2019; therefore, the Intent to Apply form must be submitted no later than close of business of March 15, 2019. The intent to apply form may be returned by in person to the iConnect Zone office at 3850 Pony Tracks Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80922 or e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. This form should also be the first document included in the charter school application.
番茄app社区成人Starting May 1, student accounts must be funded to purchase meals. No students will be allowed to charge additional debt to their meal account. While District 49 often affords flexibility for young children in its elementary schools, each school year must end with all accounts current.
